This was a very special project to me, because it was my graduation piece that I built for my apprenticeship. It took me 37 hours to build from start to finish and many more hours for the planning and documentation. I built a prototype before building the final piece which i had to present at the ‘Berufsschule’ for marking. I finished my apprenticeship in January 2023 and I received full marks for this piece.

By moving the bar behind the backrest, you can adjust the seat into three different sitting angles by slotting the protruding pins on the bar into the holes in the rear of the armrests. One upright angle for reading or suchlike, one middle adjustment and one reclined for sleeping or listening to music.

The armrests are covered in blackened oak wood so that your arms don´t rest on cold steel and the seat and backrest are upholstered with a cotton upholstery. The steel has been blackened with gunblue and then sealed with a wax oil.
